Frequently Asked Questions

Are your carriers licensed, bonded, and insured?

We only assign carriers who are licensed, insured, and bonded. Each carrier is thoroughly screened prior to being assigned and must have a proven record of successful transports through the Department Of Transportation.

Can I pack items inside the vehicle?

Our general rule is that up to 100 pounds of your personal belongings can be packed inside the vehicle. Items inside the vehicle cannot be packed over the windows, and they cannot obstruct the drivers view when loading and unloading. Personal items are not insured during the transport so we advise that you do not pack items of high value.

How long will the transport take?

On average the carriers travel 500 miles per day. For example, if your total transport distance is 2,000 miles, your estimated transport would be 4 days. We will always provide you with detailed timing information when your specific carrier is assigned.

What sets you apart from your competition?

Shipping your vehicle can feel stressful, and we understand that. We take pride in our work to make sure your transport experience with us is the best in the business. Our staff responds to questions and inquiries urgently, keeping your comfort as the top priority. Plus, Lundstroms Transport has the resources, skill, and expertise necessary to efficiently handle all of your auto-transport needs.

What factors effect auto-transport prices?

Our quotes are based on vehicle specifications, timeframes required, weather conditions, traffic conditions, location desirability, and the availability of carriers on the exact route. This information is combined with the cost of similar vehicles being shipped on the route to provide you with an accurate, and competitive price.

Will my vehicle be with the same carrier from pickup through delivery?

Your vehicle will only be transported by the carrier that is originally assigned prior to your vehicle being picked up, and it will not be transferred to another carrier while in route.

What is the difference between open and enclosed carriers?

Open carriers are the most common and affordable way vehicles are shipped, and will transport your vehicle while exposed to open air and debris. Enclosed carriers keep your vehicle hidden and protected from any debris during the transport. Enclosed carriers are often equipped with a zero degree ramp, or a hydraulic lift gate to load vehicles with low ground clearance, if needed.
